St Patrick’s Day Parade happening in Montreal

St. Patrick’s Day parade returns to Montreal. The event will take place on March 20th at 9:30 am. The event organizers, the United Irish Societies of Montreal, have mentioned that this year’s parade will be smaller than previous parades. This parade will roughly have 500 participants compared to the previous years, with up to 3000 participants. For this parade, spectators can view bands and wave to members of the Irish Community from Lambert-Closse and along Ste. Catherine St., turning at Philip’s Square to St. Patrick’s Basilica.

Despite the parade being smaller, the United Irish Societies of Montreal have exciting things planned for the parade. The parade is free to attend, so you can look forward to going with your friends and having a good time.

All parade attendees are encouraged to maintain physical distancing measures and spread out along the route. For more details of the parade route, visit: https://unitedirishsocieties.ca/parade/
