On January 6th, 2021, a bunch of homegrown American terrorists stormed the United States Capitol building during an insurrection which became a failed coup. Several people died and others were injured. Among the insurrectionists were members of the alt-right, neo-fascist group, the Proud Boys. There is a new initiative called Vsuccess at Vanier College. The initiative was founded by Mario Michas and Maia Fukuyama of the Vanier Student Leaders.
