Welcome Back! Here is what You Need to Know
Summer is coming to a close and school is in full swing! Yaaaaay! Here is some important information for newcomers as well as returning students to know:
The Student Services department is located in C203. They provide assistance with several services available at Vanier College as listed below:
- ACCESS Centre for students with disabilities
- An indigenous student centre
- Career/ Academic Advising
- Mental health counselling
- Student advocacy
- Financial aid
- Fundraising
- Health services
- Recreational Programing
- Lockers

Centre D’Aide en Français (CAF)
CAF is tutoring offered to help students with written and oral French as of week 3 until week 15. Students can sign up for paired tutoring on the Vanier website or on Omnivox for one hour a week with a peer tutor. Drop-in tutoring is also available from Monday to Friday from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in E-312 and from 12:30PM to 2PM in E-300 on Wednesdays.
Tutoring and Academic Success Centre (TASC)
TASC offers drop-in and paired tutoring with English, Math and Science starting Monday, September 8th in E-300. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
Upcoming Student Life Activities
September 13-20-27: First Aid Class. For 75$ sign up on Omnivox to take this class from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
September 15: Name that tune! In the B-Hive (B-225) from 1:00PM to 2:00PM.
September 17: UMBRELLA Workshop covering safe tucking and binding by Origami Customs’ Rae Hill. At Vanier College from 12:30PM to 2:00PM. Sign up on Omnivox.
September 17: Club’s Day (The Insider will be there!)
September 18: Vanier Dance Troupe Auditions. Essence (Contemporary) from 6:00PM to 7:15PM and Elevation (Hip Hop) from 7:45PM to 9:00PM. Sign up on Omnivox.
September 19: Adulting 101-Cooking Workshop from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Register on Omnivox.
September 26: Vanier Group Volunteer Opportunity. At Entraide Bénévole Métro’s Annual High Tea Fundraiser. From 10:30AM to 2:00PM. Register on Omnivox.
September 27: Vanier Group Volunteer Opportunity. At Entraide Bénévole Métro’s Annual High Tea Fundraiser. From 10:30AM to 4:00PM. Register on Omnivox.
Other Important Dates:
- September 19: Deadline to withdraw from a course or from Vanier
- November 1: Deadline to request a program change for Winter 2026
